The owners wanted a modern villa that would embrace both its setting and their Arabian roots. They wished to live in a place that would remind them about themselves since they have made the decision to settle indefinitely in the Democratic Republic of Congo where they have their major businesses. Being a long-term investment, the owners wanted to live at home away from home. So we gave them an Arabian villa with glossy interiors, ornate architectural detail and luxury…

Villa Al-Faradje is a dialogue between an identity and a location, both disconnected by space and time. The client wished to live in the space of his Arabian original culture but in the place of his new home, DR Congo.

The villa is a shining “oasis of virgin white walls” in the middle of a heavy tropical vegetation situated in one of the “glowing” neighborhoods in Kinshasa.

Boasting an open-plan living with a kitchen, a dining area, a lounge and passage library in the same space with a guest restroom. 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms are also found on the ground floor while the upper floor is a self-contained “apartment” with a lounge, bathroom, bedroom and wardrobes overlooking the ensemble.

The exterior is adorned with Arabian motifs from the cleverly shaded veranda, the standalone “hut” aligned with an 8-shaped plushy pool surrounded by glorious vegetation.

Les propriétaires voulaient une villa moderne qui embrasserait à la fois son cadre Congolais et leurs racines arabes. Ils souhaitaient vivre dans un lieu qui leur rappellerait leur culture puisqu'ils ont pris la décision de s'installer indéfiniment en République démocratique du Congo où ils ont leurs principales entreprises. Étant un investissement à long terme, les propriétaires voulaient vivre chez eux loin de chez eux. Nous leur avons donc donné une villa arabe avec des intérieurs brillants, des détails architecturaux ornés et le luxe qui va avec...

La Villa Al-Faradje est un dialogue entre une identité et un lieu, à la fois déconnectés de l'espace et du temps. Le client souhaitait vivre dans l'espace de sa culture originelle arabe mais à la place de sa nouvelle patrie, la RD du Congo.

La villa est une "oasis de murs blancs vierges" au milieu d'une végétation tropicale située dans l'un des quartiers "lumineux" de Kinshasa.

Bénéficiant d'un salon décloisonné avec une cuisine, une salle à manger, un salon et une bibliothèque de passage dans le même espace avec une toilette pour visiteur. 3 chambres et 2 salles de bains se trouvent également au rez-de-chaussée tandis que l'étage supérieur est un «appartement» indépendant avec un salon, une salle de bains, une chambre et des armoires donnant sur l'ensemble.

L'extérieur est orné de motifs arabes de la véranda astucieusement ombragée, la «cabane» autonome alignée avec une piscine en forme de 8 entouré d'une végétation glorieuse.
