Architecture that Belongs : BasaboseStudio is an architectural and design practice rooted in the belief that the future of building lies not in excess, but in restoration. Born from the forests of the Congo Basin and engaged with the world, we seek to reconcile architecture with ecology, culture, and time. We design spaces that breathe, age, adapt, and give back; spaces that do not dominate their environment, but dialogue with it.
We believe architecture must learn again how to live with the Earth. From intimate dwellings to complex urban projects, we develop design that is human-centered, climate-conscious, and culturally grounded.
Our practice draws from Indigenous knowledge systems, contemporary research, and global expertise to shape environments that heal more than they harm.
We do not create objects.
We design relationships between land, people, and memory.
