Chez Louis II

Project Profile:

Reimagining Industrial Space

Chez Louis II transforms a renovated industrial setting into an inviting outdoor pub, reimagining an existing space as a destination for social interaction, relaxation and shared experiences. Guided by BasaboseStudio’s philosophy of human-centred and responsible design, the project preserves the raw character of the industrial environment while introducing a distinctive new identity.

Where Industry Meets Nature

The design centres on a lush tropical canopy that envelops the existing steel framework, creating an immersive garden atmosphere within the Silikin Village precinct. Climbing plants, mature trees and layered vegetation soften the industrial structure, while timber slats, earthy textures and warm ambient lighting create a rich, intimate atmosphere around the central bar and communal seating areas.

A Responsible Approach to Urban Hospitality

Chez Louis II demonstrates how adaptive reuse can create meaningful urban experiences by combining an existing industrial structure with nature as an architectural element. The result is a contemporary urban retreat that reflects our commitment to contextual, responsible and people-centred design.
